As Executive Assistant to the Chancellor, Nancy Lyons provides critical administrative support to Chancellor Martin, managing his complex schedule with detailed logistics and meeting preparation. Nancy assists Chancellor Martin with a broad range of daily activities including travel, correspondence, and expense reporting, and she effectively liaises with both high-level internal administrative officers and external constituents.
Nancy began her career as Assistant to the Chairman Emeritus and the President of a local commercial real estate firm and was promoted to Risk Manager and Associate Secretary of the firm’s board before taking time away from the workforce to raise her two sons.
Nancy was previously employed part time at Maryville University in a student services role prior to joining Washington University in 2004. Her experience at WashU includes Assistant to the Chair of Biology, Executive Assistant to the Dean of Arts & Sciences, and Executive Assistant to the Dean of Engineering & Applied Science (now the McKelvey School of Engineering). Nancy joined the Chancellor’s team in December of 2018.
Nancy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Maryville University.
