As Executive Coordinator in the Office of the Chancellor, Circe Diggs provides essential administrative, scheduling, and operational support, working closely with the Senior Executive Assistant, Nancy Lyons, to ensure the seamless day-to-day functioning of the office. Circe supports the operational needs of the Chancellor’s Office, managing financial and administrative processes and coordinating routine meetings. She maintains organized systems for tracking transactions and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. As a trusted partner, Circe provides full backup support to Ms. Lyons, ensuring continuity of operations and responsiveness at all times.
Circe brings extensive experience in healthcare administration and executive support, with more than 18 years at Washington University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the Chancellor’s Office, she served as Assistant to the Chair of the Department of Surgery, where she managed high-level administrative operations, coordinated faculty appointments and promotions, and served as liaison to the Dean’s Office and Board of Trustees.
Earlier in her career, Circe held leadership roles including Clinical Manager of the Pain Management Center and Administrator of The Fetal Care Center and Practice Manager in the Department of OB/GYN. In these roles, she directed complex clinical operations, led multidisciplinary teams, and oversaw strategic initiatives in collaboration with Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Her background also includes program coordination and administrative leadership within the Department of Surgery, supporting high-volume clinical and academic programs.
Circe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Northwestern University.
